The Edward Thorp Gallery exhibits paintings, drawings, and sculptures by American, South American and European artists. The gallery has a strong reputation for its emphasis on introducing and nurturing emerging artists. It is also known for its diverse program within both the fine and decorative arts. After 25 years in Soho the gallery moved in summer 2000 to an elegant 6,000sq.ft. space in Chelsea. The artists styles range from realism to abstraction with an emphasis on individual vision and a skillful handling of craft. The gallery also has interests in Italian fine art glass, ceramics, folk art furniture, outsider and self taught artists. Edward Thorp Gallery has promoted the careers of several significant contemporary artists. Previously the gallery has exhibited the works of Elie Nadelman, Henri Michaux, Eugene Leroy, Gandy Brodie, Eric Fischl, April Gornik, Konrad Klaphek and Ken Kiff.
